I am a product designer with over a years experience in a hospital furniture company, working on wooden bedside cabinets to metal drug cabinets to plastic components. I proficiently used PTC Creo Parametrics. During my time there, I worked on creating lots of CAD models, creating technical drawings and problem solving. Occasionally reports would be written regarding testing products to in-house standards or British Standards as some products come under Class 1 Medical Devices.
I studied Product Design Technology at the University of Brighton where I achieved a 1st Class Honors Degree. My final year project was developing a sports technique analysis device. The prototype was built by 3D printing the casing and housing an Arduino circuit board inside, this was then displayed at a designers exhibition in central London.
I have worked in high pace environments managing multiple projects, with the ultimate goal of designing great products with minimal cost. I have a great balance of technical and creative ability which merge to solve problems differently to others. I can apply forward thinking of the prototype stage to my CAD models.
I was trained in Solidworks at University, where I used Keyshot to render my CAD models. Creo is the bread and butter of metal design where I can create technical drawings for production. I have used Adobe Indesign and Photoshop to create portfolios of great images with detailed working progress.
